New in Voss Checkout · Increase average order value
You already paid for the customer. Make every order worth more.
Give buyers a reason to add one more product before they pay. Voss Checkout order bumps put relevant, optional Shopify add-ons directly inside your branded checkout—so you can grow average order value and earn more from the traffic you already have.
Whop processing fees are separate. Payment eligibility and payouts are controlled by Whop.
Products, cart and fulfillment stay on Shopify.
Your connected, eligible Whop business processes the payment.
Confirmed paid orders sync for the normal fulfillment workflow.
Don't stop at the first product.
A shopper has already decided to buy. A well-timed offer—matching socks, a compatible accessory, a useful extra—gives them a simple opportunity to add something valuable to their purchase before checkout is finished.
Same customer. Same checkout. A chance at a bigger order. Higher AOV is a goal, not a guaranteed outcome.
Why checkout order bumps are worth testing
More revenue per buyer
Offer one relevant extra item to a customer who is already ready to pay. An accepted offer adds revenue without buying a second ad click.
Higher average order value
AOV is revenue divided by orders. When customers accept a useful add-on, the completed order can be worth more.
Make more of paid traffic
Improve revenue potential from customers acquired through Meta, TikTok, Google or organic search. Evaluate margin, not just top-line sales.
Keep buying simple
Buyers can opt in or out right on the same checkout page instead of entering a separate sales funnel.
Your products and your brand
Pick real Shopify products. Choose compact or premium designs, with optional accent, background, border and price styles.
A quote you can trust
Voss checks Shopify's actual variant price and updated cart quote. The buyer sees the added amount rather than an invented checkout fee.
What even a small add-on acceptance rate can mean
1,000 orders × 15% acceptance × $10 add-on
$1,500 in additional gross order revenue and $1.50 additional average revenue per order, assuming the same 1,000 purchases complete and each acceptance adds $10.
This example is hypothetical, not an observed Voss merchant outcome. It excludes costs, payment fees, tax, refunds and any conversion-rate change.
Why this matters for advertising
Getting a new buyer often means paying for another click, another impression and another chance to convert. A relevant add-on lets you pursue more revenue from an existing purchase decision.
Choose offers with genuine buyer value and healthy contribution margin. The goal is more profit per customer, not just more items in the cart.
Offer the right extra, at the right moment
Recommend a complementary add-on
Choose from your existing Shopify variants. Up to three offers can be configured per checkout, subject to product availability and pricing.
Below shipping or above payment
Place optional add-on cards after shipping methods or before the payment section. Use a compact line or a premium product card to suit your brand.
Add or remove without leaving checkout
The shopper stays in Voss checkout while an add-on updates the Shopify-backed quote. We don't promise instantaneous refreshes or bypass payment validation.
Shopify pricing, Whop payment, Shopify order sync
Voss validates the updated Shopify total before payment; successfully paid orders sync back into Shopify for fulfillment.
Order bump ideas shoppers might actually want
Shoes + matching socks
Give footwear customers a simple complementary item they can use immediately.
Phone + compatible case
Offer protection that clearly fits the item in the original order.
Gift + gift-wrapping product
Sell gift wrapping as a real Shopify product variant where your fulfillment workflow supports it.
Skincare + travel-size product
Offer a low-commitment companion product instead of another unrelated purchase decision.
Relevance matters more than aggressive copy. Start with one obvious complement, track paid completed orders and compare total revenue per checkout—not only clicks on the offer.
Works with Voss checkout languages
Voss checkout supports English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch and European Portuguese. Supported order-bump controls and default labels follow the selected checkout language. For product titles and descriptions, publish Shopify translations using the Shopify Translate & Adapt app; premium merchant-authored copy can be translated in the editor.
Start offering add-ons in three steps

Order bump questions, answered
Does Voss Checkout support order bumps for Shopify stores?
Yes. Eligible connected merchants can create and publish up to three optional Shopify-variant order bumps in the Voss Checkout Editor. They appear inside the Voss-branded external checkout, not inside Shopify's native checkout.
How do checkout order bumps help increase AOV?
They give buyers a convenient chance to add a relevant product to an order they are already placing. When accepted, the extra item increases that order's value. Overall AOV and profit improvement depend on acceptance, product margin, checkout completion and fees; no uplift is guaranteed.
Do order bumps require Shopify Plus?
Voss order bumps appear in Voss's own external Shopify-connected checkout, so they do not rely on a native Shopify Plus checkout-extension placement. Merchants still need an eligible connected Shopify store and Whop business.
Where can I show an order bump?
Merchants can place offers below available shipping methods or above payment methods. Voss offers compact and premium card styles and optional visual customization.
Can I offer multiple products?
Yes. Voss currently allows up to three configured optional add-on offers. Each offer must reference an available Shopify product variant.
Will adding an order bump restart or interrupt checkout?
The buyer can add or remove an optional offer within the checkout without visiting a separate upsell page. Voss validates the changed Shopify cart and quoted total before payment; repricing or payment readiness may briefly refresh. Speed and conversion lift are not guaranteed.
Are the add-on prices real Shopify prices?
Yes. A Voss order bump must point to a real Shopify variant. The selectable price uses Shopify's relevant country/currency context, and the final authorized checkout total is based on the validated cart quote. An unavailable or unverified offer cannot be newly selected.
Are order bumps available in other checkout languages?
Voss-controlled offer labels follow its seven supported checkout languages when enabled. Shopify product names and descriptions use published Shopify translations, including through the Shopify Translate & Adapt app. Merchant-written premium labels can be translated separately.
Is this a post-purchase one-click upsell?
No. Voss order bumps are optional products offered during checkout, before the payment is completed. Native one-click post-purchase upsell funnels are a separate feature and are not generally available in Voss.
What does Voss cost?
Voss has $0 setup and $0 monthly software fees, and charges a 0.5% Voss software fee per successfully processed order. Whop's payment-processing fees are separate.
