Voss Checkout is an independent checkout software company. The product keeps Shopify as the storefront and operational backend while giving stores a branded external checkout connected to their own Whop account.

What Voss Checkout is
Voss is external checkout software for Shopify stores. Customers shop on the existing Shopify storefront, move into a Voss checkout for the payment step, and successful paid orders are written back into Shopify so inventory, customer operations and fulfillment can continue there.
Shopify stays the store. Voss becomes the checkout layer.
The payment runs through the Whop business the store connects to Voss. Voss is not the destination for the store's sales revenue.
Why Voss exists
Most Shopify stores are built around one tightly connected storefront, checkout and payment stack. That is convenient when the native setup is exactly what the business needs. Voss exists for stores that intentionally want a different checkout/payment architecture without rebuilding the rest of the Shopify operation.
What the product team focuses on
Payment integrity
Important order details are re-checked server-side before payment so the browser is not treated as the source of truth for price or total.
Order reliability
Successful payments should create one matching Shopify order, including recovery paths for interrupted post-payment flows.
Store operations
Products, inventory, customers and fulfillment remain centered in Shopify instead of forcing the store to operate from a second commerce backend.
Clear setup
The onboarding flow is designed for store operators, not only developers, with guided Shopify, Whop, domain and tracking setup.
Independent product, connected platforms
Voss Checkout is an independent product. Shopify and Whop are third-party platforms with their own eligibility, compliance, review, reserve and payout rules. Using Voss does not remove those rules or guarantee payment-account approval.
How we document the product
Voss guides and comparisons are maintained by the Voss Checkout product team. Product claims are based on the current Voss implementation; competitor claims are separated from Voss claims and should be checked against the competitor's current public documentation when making a buying decision.
