Shopify payment-processing fees: calculate the whole stack, not one percentage
Your real payment cost can include Shopify's plan, card-processing fees, third-party transaction fees, currency conversion and checkout software fees. Comparing only one rate can be misleading.

With Shopify Payments
Shopify Payments charges payment-processing fees that vary by plan, card type and location. When it is the sole provider, Shopify says third-party transaction fees do not apply to Shopify Payments orders.
With a third-party provider
Shopify says qualifying third-party transactions can incur a Shopify transaction fee in addition to the processing fee charged by the third-party provider.
With Voss + Whop
Voss currently charges 0.5% per processed order, with $0 Voss setup fee and $0 monthly Voss fee. Payments run through your own Whop account at your Whop rate. Merchants should also verify what Shopify fees apply to their own setup.
Do not forget refunds
Shopify's current documentation says third-party transaction fees are not returned when you refund an order. Processor and software fee treatment can differ, so review each layer separately.
