Can you use Whop payments for ecommerce? Yes — but the integration model matters.
Whop has its own payment and checkout infrastructure. For a Shopify store, Whop is not a normal provider you simply select in Shopify settings, so ecommerce integrations usually need a separate checkout or another custom integration layer.

Two broad models
Build commerce around Whop
Use Whop as a larger part of the product/customer/payment stack.
Keep your ecommerce platform
Keep Shopify or another store platform for products and operations, and connect Whop to the payment/checkout layer.
For Shopify specifically
Whop is not listed as a normal Shopify payment provider. Products like Voss connect the Shopify cart to a separate checkout that uses the merchant's own Whop account and then syncs successful paid orders back.
What merchants should test
- Products and variants.
- Shipping and discounts.
- Currencies.
- Successful and failed payment behavior.
- Refunds.
- Tracking and order sync.
Keep the store you built. Add the checkout you want.
Connect Shopify and Whop, test the full flow, then choose when you want to send live traffic through it.
