How do you accept card payments on a website? You need both a checkout and an approved payment provider.
The checkout collects the order and payment details. The payment provider handles authorization and settlement. Your ecommerce platform then needs to know whether the order was actually paid.

The basic stack
Storefront
Products, cart and customer journey.
Checkout
Shipping, billing and order confirmation.
Payment provider
Card authorization, payment status and settlement.
Order system
Creates the paid order and drives fulfillment.
For Shopify stores
Shopify can bundle much of this through Shopify Payments, or you can use supported third-party providers. A separate external checkout is another architecture.
Where Voss fits
Voss provides the external checkout layer for Shopify and connects it to the merchant's own Whop account, while successful paid orders return to Shopify for normal operations.
Keep the store you built. Add the checkout you want.
Connect Shopify and Whop, test the full flow, then choose when you want to send live traffic through it.
