How to connect a payment processor to Shopify
There are two fundamentally different ways to do it: connect a provider inside Shopify's payment system, or move the checkout step to a separate checkout connected to another payment account.

Route 1: connect a supported provider inside Shopify
- Open Shopify Settings → Payments.
- Review providers available for your store country.
- Create or use the provider account required by that integration.
- Connect the provider and complete any verification.
- Run a real or supported test before relying on it for live traffic.
Route 2: use a separate checkout
A separate checkout changes more than the processor. The customer moves out of Shopify's native checkout and pays on another checkout page. A reliable system then syncs the successful paid order back into Shopify.
How Voss connects Whop
Whop is not simply selected from Shopify's native provider list. Voss connects the Shopify store and the merchant's own Whop account, verifies the cart and total, processes payment through the connected Whop flow, and writes successful paid orders back to Shopify.
What to test after connecting any processor
- Successful and failed payments.
- Correct currency and order totals.
- Refunds and disputes.
- Shopify order status and fulfillment workflow.
- Apple Pay / Google Pay or other wallets you depend on.
- Ad tracking and purchase-event deduplication.
