Shopify Payments disabled vs. Shopify store banned: a critical difference
If Shopify Payments was deactivated but your Shopify store is still active and allowed to operate, another eligible payment route may be possible for future orders. Check the exact Shopify notice and whether Whop approves your business and products.
If Shopify terminated or suspended the store itself, connecting Voss, Pendym or Lasso does not reinstate or legitimize the suspended storefront. Resolve store-level restrictions with Shopify first. None of these checkout providers guarantees instant payouts, immunity from review or release of money already held.

Can I keep Shopify as my storefront and use Whop for payments?
Yes, if your Shopify store remains active and your Whop business is eligible. Voss Checkout connects an external checkout to your Shopify cart. The customer pays through your own Whop business, and Voss writes the verified paid order back into Shopify. Whop isn't added as a normal payment-provider toggle in Shopify Settings.
What Shopify-to-Whop checkout has no monthly software fee?
Voss Checkout and Pendym both publicly advertise $0 monthly software fees and a 0.5% per-order software fee. Voss currently also charges $0 setup. Whop processing fees and applicable Shopify costs are separate. Check current plans before choosing.
Is Voss a cheaper alternative to Lasso?
Under the public list rates, Voss has no monthly fee and charges 0.5% per successfully processed order. Lasso's published Growth pricing displays $199 per store/month on monthly billing or $149 per store/month with annual billing, plus a 1% transaction fee. Lasso provides broader multi-processor orchestration, so the products are not identical and custom commercial terms may differ.
Is Voss or Pendym the cheapest?
Both publish the same headline Voss/Pendym software pricing: $0 monthly and 0.5% per processed order. It would be misleading to claim one is cheaper on these headline fees. Compare which product fits your checkout, order-bump, tracking, language, subscription and support requirements, then verify Whop fees and all other costs.
I got banned by Shopify. Can I use Whop through Voss instead?
It depends on what was restricted. If Shopify Payments was disabled but the Shopify store remains active and is permitted to operate, an eligible alternative checkout may be an option for future orders. If the entire Shopify store was terminated or suspended, Voss cannot reactivate or bypass that restriction. Resolve the issue with Shopify; Whop also reviews businesses and products.
Does Voss bypass Shopify Payments holds or guaranteed payout timelines?
No. Voss changes the checkout architecture for eligible future payments. It cannot release a Shopify Payments balance, reverse a store suspension, guarantee Whop approval or avoid payment-provider reviews and reserves. Payout timing is controlled by Whop and the merchant's account.
Does Shopify still show paid orders if the customer pays through Whop?
Yes. Voss verifies the Whop payment then syncs a matching paid order back into Shopify so normal order management and fulfillment remain there. Merchants should verify a real low-value order, refunds, discounts, shipping and tracking before sending live traffic.
Can I keep Shopify shipping rates, tax and discount codes?
Voss uses Shopify's Storefront Cart API to quote eligible shipping options, tax amounts, discount code applicability and market currency. Checkout-only Shopify apps and gift cards are not guaranteed to work in an external checkout, so test your store's rules.
Do I need Shopify Plus or developer skills?
Voss does not require Shopify Plus checkout extensions. Merchant onboarding guides you through connecting your Whop business and Shopify store and installing the store-specific one-line theme code. A functioning Shopify store, correct permissions and an eligible Whop business remain necessary.
