For South African Shopify merchants
Running Shopify in South Africa without Shopify Payments?
You don't have to rebuild your store to explore a different payment path. Keep Shopify for sales and fulfillment; use Voss for a branded checkout connected to your eligible Whop business.
Whop processing fees are separate. Payment eligibility and payouts are controlled by Whop.
Products, cart and fulfillment stay on Shopify.
Your connected, eligible Whop business processes the payment.
Confirmed paid orders sync for the normal fulfillment workflow.
Don't rebuild a working store just to explore another way to get paid.
You're running a South African Shopify store and need to accept payments from customers at home, overseas, or both. Shopify Payments isn't on the country's supported list, and checkout requirements can differ between local shoppers and international buyers.
Voss gives you a separate branded checkout while keeping the catalog, orders and fulfillment inside your existing Shopify setup.
Voss costs $0 per month and $0 to set up. Its software fee is 0.5% per successfully processed order; Whop's fees are separate.
Keep the Shopify business. Change the checkout experience.
Keep rand and international pricing in view
ZAR, USD, EUR and GBP are among Voss's configured checkout currencies. Whop must approve the actual payment and account.
Keep Shopify operations
Don't migrate your catalog, inventory or order fulfillment. Verified paid orders go back to Shopify.
Keep your identity at checkout
Bring your logo and brand colors to the payment experience, with a custom checkout domain option.
Only pay Voss when orders process
No Voss setup or monthly software fee; 0.5% per successfully processed order, with Whop costs separate.

From your Shopify cart to a verified paid Shopify order.
- Connect your existing Shopify store. Keep your catalog, shipping setup, product pages and cart.
- Connect your own eligible Whop business. Whop controls identity checks, merchant approval, available payment methods and payouts.
- Customize, publish and test. Buyers reach your branded Voss checkout; confirmed payments become paid Shopify orders for fulfillment.
Built for real cross-border Shopify workflows.
A Johannesburg-based Shopify brand ships to UK customers. Voss can be evaluated as a separate checkout while the brand keeps its Shopify inventory, product pages and fulfillment.
Useful for a South African seller evaluating international card payments through an eligible Whop business.
Important for your customers: Decide whether your priority is South African buyers, cross-border sales or both before changing your checkout.

Confirm your actual business eligibility
Verify your real registered country, business type, products and withdrawal method with Whop. No country page can approve a merchant account.
Test ZAR and your main buyer currency
ZAR is configured in Voss, but currency configuration is not the same as a confirmed live Whop payment or payout.
Recreate a normal customer order
Use a real cart with products, shipping address and any discounts. Verify methods, order total and completed Shopify order.
Know the full fee
Voss charges 0.5% per successful order. Add Whop payment fees, any currency conversion and applicable Shopify charges when comparing total cost.
Frequently asked questions
Is Shopify Payments available in South Africa?
No. As of October 2026, South Africa is not listed in Shopify's supported countries for Shopify Payments. You can still consider eligible third-party providers or a separate checkout.
Can I use Voss if my business is based in South Africa?
Only if Whop approves your real business, products, payment activity and payout setup. A configured currency or available Voss account does not guarantee Whop merchant approval.
Does Voss support South African rand?
ZAR is configured in Voss's checkout currency list. That does not guarantee your Whop account can receive every ZAR payment or withdraw in ZAR.
Does Voss offer instant EFT or other South African local methods?
We don't promise that. Available buyer payment methods are controlled by Whop and may differ by customer and merchant account. Compare local providers if instant EFT is a must-have.
Can I keep shipping and fulfillment from Shopify?
Yes. Shopify keeps your product and shipping setup. Voss connects the checkout and sends confirmed paid orders back for fulfillment.
How much does Voss Checkout cost?
Voss has no setup charge or monthly software fee. It charges 0.5% per successfully processed order. Whop processing, conversion and other applicable fees are separate.
Shopify Payments availability in other countries
Verified against Shopify's official supported-country list ↗. Seller and payout eligibility follow Whop's business verification process ↗. Being able to open a Whop or Voss account does not guarantee acceptance of live sales from South Africa. Voss is independent checkout software, not Shopify Payments or an official Shopify gateway.
Selling beyond South Africa? See a checkout that can stay connected to Shopify.
Keep your products and fulfillment in Shopify. Voss connects your storefront to a separate branded checkout where your own Whop business processes payment.
