For Shopify agencies and freelancers
Your client wants a new checkout. You need a launch you can stand behind.
A Shopify project doesn't end when the design looks good. A client needs their own payment account, working orders, a verified published theme, clear fees and a way to get help after you hand the store back.
Whop processing fees are separate. Payment eligibility and payouts are controlled by Whop.
Products, cart and fulfillment stay on Shopify.
Your connected, eligible Whop business processes the payment.
Confirmed paid orders sync for the normal fulfillment workflow.
A checkout project can fail after the agency says it's finished.
Your reputation is on the line when buyers leave the cart and enter a separate payment flow. Voss keeps Shopify as the product and fulfillment system while an eligible client-owned Whop business processes payment. That reduces the need for a storefront rebuild, but it doesn't remove payment policy or checkout compatibility checks.
Four client conversations you should have before quoting the work
Who owns the payment account?
The business that sells the products should understand and control its Whop approval, identification, refunds and payout obligations. Avoid quietly routing your client's payments through your agency's account.
Which Shopify features must survive?
Ask about checkout-only apps, Shop Pay, subscriptions, gift cards and special discount extensions. Don't promise that native Shopify checkout features carry into an independent external checkout.
Who owns the installation?
Record the permanent myshopify.com store address, current published theme, store-specific installation line, relevant credentials and the person authorized to make changes.
How is the project accepted?
Define acceptance as an authorized real paid purchase, matching paid Shopify order, correct totals, successful buyer experience and a documented rollback; not merely a checkout preview.
An agency handoff checklist that prevents expensive surprises
- Qualify the client's business and location against current Whop product/account rules before pitching the integration as approved.
- Have the authorized store owner connect Shopify and their own Whop business. Follow the current Voss onboarding steps and protect credentials.
- Inspect the Voss checkout editor and verify mobile, currency, shipping, policy links, supported payment methods and branded domain if used.
- Complete one authorized paid test purchase. Confirm payment captured through the client's Whop account and one matching paid Shopify order.
- Reconcile pixel/CAPI and TikTok events if those services are configured; document what can't be tested without a real buyer device.
- Give the client a handoff note with ownership, where to reach support, and a published-theme recheck/rollback procedure.
One documented Voss production order showed an eligible Whop payment followed by a matching paid Shopify order. This is evidence of a completed flow, not an uptime SLA or agency delivery guarantee.
Where Voss helps—and what still belongs to the client
Client-store implementation
Voss is installed per Shopify store. It doesn't automatically install to every client theme or manage client app permissions on an agency's behalf.
Checkout branding
The visual editor supports branding and selected content/layout settings. Compare the real Voss demo—not a generic checkout mockup—with the client's required buyer experience.
Order operations
Voss verifies successful payments and writes paid orders to Shopify. Treat product, shipping, refund and fulfillment testing as individual signoff items.
No agency dashboard promise
Voss has multi-store functionality, but don't assume consolidated cross-client billing, white-label resale, agency permissions or group reporting without verifying each feature.
What kind of client project are you delivering?
Start with the actual acceptance criteria. A good agency recommendation includes knowing when not to switch checkout.
Choose your situation to get a specific recommendation. No contact details required.
Not an account-approval or eligibility decision. Whop makes its own payment acceptance, risk and payout decisions. A restricted provider's existing funds remain with that provider.
Questions worth resolving before signing up
Can we use our agency's Whop account for every client?
Don't assume it. Each seller is responsible for truthful payment-account information, and Whop independently approves accounts and business models. Client ownership is the safer expectation unless Whop approves otherwise.
Can we promise a fixed launch time?
No. Verification, Shopify permissions and payment eligibility vary. Quote milestones the agency controls, and don't guarantee Whop approvals or availability.
Can we white-label Voss as our own checkout product?
No white-label agency licensing is represented as available here. The standard offer is Voss Checkout installed with the merchant's own store and account.
What if the client changes themes later?
Recheck that the Voss store-specific installation line is active in the published theme. A theme change can change checkout routing.
Voss costs 0.5% per successfully processed order with $0 setup and $0 monthly software fees. Whop processing charges are separate. Whop and its financial partners decide business eligibility, payment methods, reviews and payouts. See Voss pricing →
Evidence and useful next steps
This page describes Voss's actual Shopify + merchant-owned Whop checkout workflow. The cited production-order example is first-party evidence of one completed order—not a promise of future speed, approval or conversion improvement.

Give your client a working checkout, a clear signoff, and a clean handoff.
Keep your products and fulfillment in Shopify. Voss connects your storefront to a separate branded checkout where your own Whop business processes payment.
Voss cannot release funds held by another provider or guarantee Whop approval or payout timing.
