Voss Checkout vs Lasso: simple Shopify + Whop or a larger payment stack?
Voss and Lasso can both sit outside Shopify's native checkout. Voss is currently focused on a simple Shopify + Whop setup, while Lasso markets a broader checkout and payment-orchestration platform with routing across multiple processors.

Side-by-side comparison
| Area | Voss Checkout | Lasso |
|---|---|---|

| Payment routing | Whop-focused today. | Advertises smart routing and multiple processors. |
| Subscriptions | Coming soon while Voss finishes testing the flow. | Advertises subscription billing today. |
| Tracking | Meta Pixel/CAPI and TikTok tracking are supported. | Advertises analytics and tracking integrations. |
| Shopify order workflow | Paid orders are written back into Shopify so fulfillment can remain there. | Whop documentation describes the same Shopify + external checkout pattern for Lasso. |

When Voss is the better fit
Voss is aimed at stores that do not need a large payment-orchestration layer and mainly want a clean way to keep Shopify while moving checkout payment through their own Whop account. The current pricing also has no monthly Voss software charge.
When Lasso may be the better fit
If you need multi-processor smart routing, mature subscription tooling, or a larger enterprise checkout stack today, Lasso currently advertises more of that functionality. That broader feature set comes with a different pricing model.
Different products for different stages
Voss is intentionally narrower right now. Lasso is the stronger fit when payment orchestration itself is the requirement; Voss is built for merchants who mainly want Shopify + Whop without the heavier fixed software cost.
Looking beyond these two?
Verify the current terms before switching
Pricing, payment methods, approval requirements and platform rules can change. A separate checkout also does not make a store immune from Shopify or Whop compliance reviews.
