Connect your existing store.
Connect Shopify and an eligible Whop business, customize Voss, install the unique theme line once, and check a test order before directing buyers to it.
Return new checkouts to Shopify.
Open Dashboard → Settings → Checkout routing, switch Voss Off and confirm your native Shopify checkout can take payments. No code removal.
Re-enable Voss when you choose.
Switch it back On in the same place. With your published Shopify theme installation still intact, new checkout visits return to Voss.
Purchases already underway are not erased.
Checkout routing changes affect new storefront visits. Existing Voss sessions may finish; confirmed payments still follow Voss's paid Shopify order synchronization and recovery process.

The on/off switch is also advertised by other external Shopify checkout products, including Pendym. Voss's advantage is the full combination of this control with its checkout editor, order verification, tracking options and straightforward pricing—not an exclusive claim to the switch.
Shopify checkout still needs an active payment provider.
If Shopify Payments is disabled and you have no other supported native Shopify provider, Shopify's checkout may not be able to accept payment. Check the provider and run a permitted test before switching Voss Off. This control is manual, not automatic payment failover or an emergency bypass for Whop reviews.
Already paid through Voss? Turning routing Off does not refund or cancel those payments. Keep using your normal payment and order-reconciliation process. If you change Shopify themes, check that Voss's unique installation line is still present before turning Voss On again.

Can I switch from Voss back to Shopify checkout?
Yes. In Voss, open Dashboard → Settings → Checkout routing and turn Voss checkout Off. New storefront checkout visits use Shopify's native checkout, without removing Voss's theme installation. Shopify must still have an active supported payment provider if you want customers to complete payment there.
Do I have to remove or reinstall theme code to turn Voss off or on?
No. After the original store-specific Voss installation, the on/off control changes checkout routing without requiring theme code removal or reinstallation. If you later publish a different Shopify theme, verify the Voss installation in the new theme before turning it on.
Will switching off Voss cancel payments or orders already in progress?
No. The switch changes where new checkout visits go. Already-open Voss checkout sessions may still finish, and their verified paid orders follow the usual Shopify sync and recovery process. The toggle does not cancel or refund earlier purchases.
Will Shopify checkout work if my Shopify Payments account was disabled?
Not necessarily. The switch does not reinstate Shopify Payments or supply another native payment provider. Before turning Voss off, confirm that the native Shopify checkout has an active payment option that is eligible for your store. Voss asks you to confirm this before switching off.
Does Voss automatically switch payment providers during an outage?
No. This is a merchant-controlled storefront routing switch, not automatic failover between Whop, Shopify Payments or other processors. A change in payment availability still requires a working, separately eligible payment provider.
Is the Voss checkout switch available to new merchants?
Yes. Voss checkout is On by default for new merchant workspaces. Once you connect Shopify and Whop, install the store-specific theme line and verify the checkout, you can turn routing Off or On in Dashboard Settings.
